I to all. I've a problem with my win 2k advanced server. I've installed it on my computer to make some tests on it. To try the services I've setted them all to 'Automatic'. Obviously, because I've not a net, some services cause errors and the sistem start up slowly. So I decide to restore the previous situation but when I try to stop some services or set them to 'Manual' the system goes in time out and the services goes to state 'Stopping', and it can't cange this state. Can someone tell me if there is a sequence to stopping serices or a method to restore the default settings of the services? Thanks in advance, Fab

Just set the ones you want changed back to manual or disabled and reboot the system. As long as you have the default configuration written down somewhere you should not have a problem changing the settings and then rebooting the system.
