Hello

I have a problem configuring Windows 2000 Servers users

I want to make changes in group policies, but
how can I make changes in GP for certain user (for example
John).

I changed GP to not display control panel
but then I (as administrator) was unable to access
control panel as well ;-O

And second question
what HDD permissions should I give for users
to make applications running BUT simultaneous
I don't want them to even watch the content of this
drive

I'm fighting with this for two days and I don't have

Create a new GPO and apply read and apply group policy security permissions to the accounts/groups that you want that GPO to apply to.
Or you could have different GPOs for Organizational Units and put users into those OUs.

Not sure about the other question. Would you mind explaining it more clearly.

but tell how can I crate new GPO
where? and where assign permissions?
(what do I have to "click" go get
creating new GPO)

(I'm using it for the first time
and as you can see am not good at it yet)

other questions:
I want a user who can run applications
from server (terminal) but I don't want
him do look at my c:, d: drives

so I want him to be able to read files needed
for apllication from drives c:, d:
but I want him not be able to watch c: d:
content in Windows Explorer for example

Active directory users and computers right click on the domain and choose properties.
Click on the group policy tab, highlight the default domain policy and edit. You can also create a new one here as well.
Highlight the GPO object and choose properties => security and you can then see who the policy will be applied to.
These are the settings that will apply to everyone.
I can't tell you everything about GPOs here.
Maybe you should look at microsoft.com
