We are running Windows 2000 server as the terminal server. Yeasterday, we got 10 TS CALs activated on the terminal server. But when I check the terminal service licensing screen this morning, I found that users who connected the terminal server after the activation, all recorded with issue dates and expiration dates. Even more strange, all conncetions will be expired in 2 months.

Why is that? We purchased those 10 TS CALs as the open license, which will be ended 2005-10-31 according to the Microsoft Open License Purchase Order Confirmation.

Any explanation would be greatly appreciated.

What OS are your clients using? If it's W2K Pro or XP Pro, they won't use one of your 10 CAL's, they have a built in CAL to the OS.

They are using either Windows NT or Windows 98. All of them connected to the server today and got the expiration dates in 2 months. Is this weired? Any ideas? Thanks.
