I am currently setting up a website on an IBM server running Windows 2000 Server. Is there a way/feature in 2000 Server to setup the system to allow emails -- from the DNS entries?

What I mean is, if my website is I want to be able to setup address like webmaster@mysite.com.

Does WIN2K Server support this and allow for SMTP and POP3 boxes? Thanks

you will need a third party product that supports POP3
you will need to add a MX record to the mysite.com domain (ask your ISP), and let the record point to your server
Next set up a mail server (not necessarily Exchange ! Lotus Notes or any other cheaper & stable application will do) I have not failed, I just found 10000 ways that don't work

Depending on the size of your organization, try Mercury Mail. . I am not affiliated with the company, I have used their FREE product and have confirmed, it works well for a small organization.
