Windows 2000 Server Processor Running at 100%

Hi all,

Strange one this.

My 2000 Server is running like a dog. I did the basic check of Task Manager and the processor is always maxed out at 100%. When you go to the processes tab though there is nothing to reflect this.

This server runs Sophos and mail software but not much else besides that. It is also a Domain Controller.

I have shut down any non essential mail services and I am currently in process of removing Sophos from it.

Has anyone come across this before? Any ideas?
