Ok,
I am moving to a new company and trying to get up to speed on their network configuration and ran accross something I have not seen before.
They run win2000 server w/ exchange 2000 on one machine. On another machine (the admins PC) they run a program called Infinite Interchange by Captaris. This pc every 3 minutes reaches out to the Web Hosting Company that hosts the website and pulls all the e-mails from a "Shared POP" account. Then sends the e-mails to the server which then distributes the e-mails appropriately.
To me this seems like double duty. Not only this I have read up on this software package and it has one problem. BCC's get lost and are not delivered.
Any thoughts on this? Why would they have had this set up this way? What would you do to rectify this situation?
PS. Be kind I am new to the forum
"SCREACH" not the nerd from Saved by the Bell but the sound of Windows whenever a new user touches the keys!
