Hi,
we are currently running a network of W2k Pro SP4 and Novell Client SP4.91SP1a and Office 97 Pro, I am experiencing random problems with Office 97SR2b Programmes failing to load, i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint. If I logon as Domain Admin then start the programmes they open straight away, and when I go in as the user with the problem they are fine too, why do I keep having to do this, it's causing me loads of wasted time but I don't know of another way to explain and solve it
Cheers

I had the same problem only using a win2k server, and the only suggestion I can make, is to log in to the pc locally using the local administrator, and then change the users status locally to power user. This will allow them more freedom, but also allows registry writes, which is mostly what office is whinging about. You will of course have to map their username from the server. :)
