I bought a new computer with Windows XP Pro OEM for New Computers. However, when I try to upgrade the old hard disk to Windows XP, I get the message that there is no upgrade path from Windows 2000 to XP. I am sure that I can buy another hard disk, install it, then add back the old hard disk as a slave, but then all the programs will have to be reinstalled and I have MANY! Is there a way around this?
