windows 2000 pro. hangs 1

The computer gives me the option of booting from 1 of 2 MS PRO. 2000 options, because I had the hd slaved in another computer with windows 200 pro. on it. I had to copy the boot.ini, ntdetect.com, ntldr files form c: to e:. because it told me ntldr was missing from the slaved drive. I went online and that's what the research told me to do. But I put the hd in the original computer, after I had the files copied, boot up, and it hangs on the colorful MICROSOFT WINDOWS 200 PROFESSIONAL SCREEN. Any help?

The boot.ini has the wrong ARC configuration information. While this is a p.i.a. to use, download and extract the diskette images and use:
While in the Recovery Console, type:

bootcfg /rebuild

In the alternative, (if you feel comfortable editing the boot.ini file yourself):
