I am working on a migration to W2K Active Directory.
Have an old NT4 PDC and an old NT4 BDC. I want to use ADMT to migrate everything over to the new AD Domain.
My question is can a BDC's SID and Computer account be migrated to the new AD domain? (I know a PDC can not join an AD Domain) My thought was that I would Add a 2nd BDC and promote it to PDC of the old NT4 Domain. This would preserve all the NT4 Domain information.
Then I would migrate the two BDC servers to the AD domain... if that is possible.
Also one of the BDC servers I want to migrate is our mail server running Exchange 5.5, are there any steps regarding Exchange and AD that I should be aware of?
