My users have been experiencing problems logging on to their Windows 2000 server, they get an invalid password error when the password they are entering is correct. Some users can gain access once they reboot. Anyone ever experience this problem?

There are quite a few users experiencing this problem. I have noticed the problem for users after a reboot of the server and they try to log on without rebooting their machines, but these users are having the problem without a reboot of the server. Any help would be appreciated!

I haven't heard of this problem so could you look at the event log on the server and workstation and tell me if there are any errors!!

Might be a good place to begin!

There are a variety of operating systems on our network, from Windows 98 to ME and to my knowledge they do not have event viewers, there are no Windows 2000 systems affected by this. I checked the event logs on the server and there are no errors in reference to bad logins. The user can usually log in after they restart, some have to enter their passwords 3 or 4 times and eventually they get it.

Thanks for your reply.
