Good Morning,

I am running active directory with DNS and we have set the TTL's to 1 day. I do not understand why some of the entries are not getting deleted after one day? I had a node that I renamed months ago, but the DNS A record for the box is still there, and it also holds an A record for the new node, but the both have the same IP address. So essentially, we have 2 A records pointing to the same box. How do I stop this?

Thanks,
Wes H

I know this may sound obvious, but it's worth asking.
Besides setting the TTL, did you also tick the box to allow the deletion of "stale" records? It's easy to accidentally forget to check the setting.
