Windows 2000 Admin Password

I have a client who lost or forgot the admin password for a lap running win2kpro. I would rather not reinstall the os, any tips on recovering the password or bypassing it ?

if the laptop is on a domain, someone with admin priv's on the domain should be able to change the default "administrator" account password, i believe, not sure though.

If it is not on a domain, search the boards, there have been previous topics on lost admin passwords and tools to use.

Its not on a domain but ll check old listings, guess they will have to buy a sniffer or go for the old format c: .
