window opener issue

I open a new window which has a form.
My requirement is to have the target of this new windows form action to be the opener window.

Similar implementation is seen in for eg. Yahoo Mail.
compose window(opener)
insert from Address Book (new Window)
Done on AddressBook form modifies the window opener that is the Compose window.

any help is appreciated.
