window freezes foxpro 2.6 1

I just recieved a new computer from our IT group.
It has microsoft service pack 2 installed.
I'll be working on programs or in a database and it freezes. Can anyone tell me how I can make this stop?
I am running in compatibilty mode for windows 95.
My printer is set as a default. I have plenty of memory available.

If this is a faster machine, it's running XP SP2 and you are using FP DOS, do a Search (click on button above) - look for the threads discussing TameDOS and/or DOSIdle.
