Simple question! should i stay with 98 or upgrade to 2000?

A very hard question to answer. A lot depends on what you're wanting to do. If you don't need 2000 or XP, don't upgrade...if it ain't broke, why try to fix it? It also depends on your hardware. If you're still poking along with a Pentium 500 or something of that order, stay with 98. If you've got a new machine and want to maximize it's performance, then you might want to look into upgrading. Also if you're wanting to run some of the more recent software releases, you may want to upgrade; but if you're wanting to run software that needs DOS, stay with 98...XP frequently pukes it's guts out %-) when it tries to run stuff in DOS.

Also, it will mean that you need to download all the Windows 2000 drivers for motherboard, video card, etc. I think algraff answered your question prett well.
