Win98 to Winxp, Upgrade or Full?

I have heard that there are flaws with each. What exactly is wrong with Upgrading Win98 to Winxp? I know there might be some hardware/software problems associated with this but other than that I don't see what the problem is. I have heard people say that upgrading is bad, and full install is the way to go.

not sure what the bad sides are for either, but I've had problems with the upgrade to windows xp, so I formatted and installed it full.

not sure if you want to BUY an upgrade or Full, clean install always seems to work better, but you might have to find device drivers, everyone knows thats always fun........(kidding). JeffS
