I have a windows 98 machine and I want to automate a backup from the microsoft backup utility. I'm using the scheduler to start the program but it will not automatically run I need to click start in the backup utility.

How do I automate this

I find these better .

BASK is a synchronization-based backup and restore utility. It allows you to specify a source and destination along with a mapping, a pattern to include, and a pattern and folders to exclude. You can determine file set differences through the date, time, and size of the source and destination files, or by checking the source file's archive attributes. With BASK's 19 file set operations, you can back up, restore, and delete files in a number of useful ways.

----------------------------------

BackupLatest backs up the most recently modified files. After the initialization, it scans the directories selected by the user and finds the files with the most recent time stamp. It then saves them on the drive mirroring the tree structure of the source directories. The amount of
saved information can be set by the user, so one can for example save the most recent 1.4Mb of documents to the floppy disk.
