If 98 and 2K are installed already, currently booted up by swapping over jumpers to change master drive, can dual boot be used instead?

I guess not, because 2K will suddenly be on D:\ but all its settings will be C:\WinNT, or C:\Documents and Settings or C:\ANYTHING! - Just hoping it stores everything as [current drive]:\WinNT, etc... instead.

Thanks!!!

It would probably be quickest to put both drives in, leave the Win98 drive as C: [Primary Mastor] and re-install Win2000 on what would be D:. It will then give you a boot menu where you can choose which way to boot.

As you say, the problem is all the C: entries for the Win2000 drive and its programs.

If you want Win98 to work with the D drive, be sure Win2000 formats it FAT32, because Win98 can't work with NTFS.

Get boot-us Boot manager (from free for personal use, works a treat (can be installed in either operating system - should be in one one Primary master).
