We've had terminal services up and running for awhile on Win2k server. We've introduced a Win2k3 server and it doesn't want to play well with the rest. Everytime I attempt to make a TS connection to the Win2k3 box I get an error message that says, "The remote session was disconnected because there are no Terminal License Servers available to provide a license. Please contact the server admin." Well, I am the admin and I do have a license server. What gives?!

Me again. Found a white paper and going over the requirements. The white paper is straight forward, nobody can connect unless you have the 2003 CALs. I opened up the license server and noticed we have per user and per device CALs for 2003. So, my guess is that the Win2k3 server just isn't configured to talk to the license server in some way? Perhaps it isn't aware of the license server at all...

Please help.

I would first like to ask if your licensing server is running on 2k3. If it is, fine. Next, do you have the correct license configuration on the Terminal Server. Also, if your licensing server is installed in domain licensing mode I have seen sometimes that the terminal server will have a problem with the discovery process. I would recommend trying this article

I figured this one out. The 2k3 box wasn't logged into our AD domain.....and the account that we wanted to use was locked out. Correcting these two issues fixed the problem.
