win2k3 client:several files unable to be opened

We're running networker 7.4.1.

Out of all Windows and AIX clients, only one win2k3 server is failing with warnings that it is unable to backup open files:

I'm not sure why these warnings are resulting in the backup being marked as failed, but what are the options to resolve this ? It seems to fail on this error about 4x a week, but not everyday

Well - which application do you use? - the simple way would just be to stop it before you start the backup.

its mcafee virus scanning tool which is scanning all inbound and outbound emails for this smtp server, so it is not easy to just stop and start it.

Then you will simply see these messages.

is it a concern that Networker is marking this backup as failed because of these warning messages ?

It depends ho you see it - whether you try to copy these files with Windows or with any other application, the result will be the same.

If you want to get rid of these messages, you might want to write a directive to exclude this path. But this of course would have trhe impact that you might 'forget' them later.
