Win2K + Win98 connection issues

I have a Win2K Server, and a mixture of windows platforms (98, Win2K, XP).

I have a specific problem with a couple of Win98 machines which seem to drop their network connection occasionally. From what I can tell it seems to be when the machines have been left for a length of time - maybe 15 minutes?

Does anyone have any ideas, as to why this is occuring?

I have the same problem. I've tried numerous things with no luck other then just upgrading to w2k with a bad license and take my chances. Here is my thread you might try some of the things I have hopefully you will have better luck.

I had this problem and it was due to my Win2k servers autodisconnect settings. Try the registry instructions from here.
