Here's the situation...
have one forest, two domains, we'll call them root.comp.local and peer.comp.local. Exchange 2k Servers reside in root.
I log on as a domain admin from the root domain and launch ADU&C to administer users in the peer domain, if I connect to dc1.peer.comp.local I can see the properties for the Exchange 2000 mailbox. If I try the same but connect to DC2.peer.comp.local I can only see the user props no Exchange props. If I log on as peer\administrator I have no issues no matter which DC I'm connected to.
Logged on as root\administrator and perform "net view \\dc1.peer..." results in expected results (sysvol, netlogon), "net view \\dc2.peer..." results in Access Denied.
Logged on as peer\administrator and perform "net view <any peer dc>" results in expected results.
So, there seems to be an issue with the trust between corp and peer...but only as far as DC2 is concerned??? Very frustrating... Any ideas?
