Hi !

We have probs with a Win2k Server with SP4 already applied :

We need 3 NICs, one for internal, one for DMZ one for Domino Clustering .. Now, if only two NICs are activated, everything is okay, after activation of the third card, one of the other card's will loose the connection or if all three are activated during startup, we'll get a message that a computer with name XY is already registered in this network. We ensured that every NIC has a different IP and Subnet and are physically splitted.

Anybody know this problem ?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks !
Alex

Not too sure about this...but I would check to make sure that your are only registering one IP address to DNS.

In other words, make sure that the DNS primary and secondary is setup on the INTERNAL interface. Leave the other two cards with blank DNS ip addresses.

There is also a check box in TCP/IP properties that say REGISTER this IP.. I would only do this on the INTERNAL interface. Make sure that you are not trying to register DNS on the other two interfaces.

You should be able to add multiple nics on different networks.

Hi Joseph,

thank you. We will try it and post the result here.

Also... Try using a different brand NIC card. Maybe the driver is freaking out.
