Hi
I'm having a problem setting up my win2k server as a network router with RRAS.
I have 2 ip ranges running over the same cable, 172.16.0.0 and 172.17.0.0.
The 'single' NIC in the server has been assigned addresses 172.16.0.254 and 172.17.0.254. from the server I can ping clients on both networks.
I have set up RRAS, (from the config wizard as a Network Router).
I have also set a local route on my client as
route add 172.16.0.0 mask 255.255.0.0. 172.17.0.254 /p
I can't seem to add routes that allow me to access clients on one ip range from the other ip range.
From my client 172.17.0.10 I can ping 172.17.0.254 and 172.16.0.254 (both server IP's) but I can't ping another client 172.16.0.210 in the other IP range.
I have to use RRAS to filter traffic between the 2 ip ranges.
Any ideas or helpers.
Stella
