Hi all, I've created a new W2K server with IIS, copied over my website and created a web within the IIS Console, but I seem to be having a problem with the extensions. When I right click on my web (or the default) and select "All Tasks" and then "Check Server Extensions" I get the following error message...

"The server administration programs and the server extensions on the web server are not compatible. The Administration program is too old to use with this server."

Can anyone shed any light on what I need to do o get this working??

Thanks Patrick

hi,

Have you tried re-installing the server extensions, also try opening the web in fp and then publish the web to the new location.

I know what this problem is

I have experienced this. When you upgrade (i.e install a newer version of the extensions) in all tasks you actually get two options for configuring extensions, the old and the new. If you choose to check server extensions on the old version you will get the message you are getting. You need to use the check server extensions for the newer version.

Not as complicated as it sounds, the two sets of options will appear in all tasks, where you are looking.

Hope this helps, if not let me know.
