Setup is as follows;

server is Win 2003 standard behind netgear firewall/router also acting as DHCP.

Clients connecting are Win2k Pro and Win XP Pro. I have successfully managed to connect with the Win2k client. Have mapped a network drive of the remote server etc.. (cannot see it when I try and browse network places on the client.. but that's another matter).

I have replicated the settings on the XP client but cannot connect. I get the 'verifying Username and Password' box then I get '721 error.. remote computer did not respond' message. Cannot get my head round it. I have checked the router logs server side, and I can see that it is forwarding GRE Packet on port 1723 to the server etc.. But the server does not seem to want to know. I have checked and double checked passwords, remote access settings etc..

Am at a loss and would appreciate anyones help if they have any ideas.

Many thanks in advance

Nell
