What do I have to change to get windows to turn the PC off at shutdown?? right now it just goes to the screen that says "it is now safe to turn off your computer" and stays there.

so, does anyone know what I have to do to get that to work?

Thanks Wolluf. That registry fix has cured a very irritating problem which was that the system refused on most shutdowns to switch off power resulting in a reboot.

I believe that this problem affects uite a few people.

As the man who jumped off the Empire State Building was heard to say as he passed the 70th floor; "So far, so good."
