Win2K on HP Pavilions

Hi,

I'd like to know if anyone has been successful in installing WIN2k on HP Pavilions 87XX models.

Its a 733MHZ PentiumIII and 128 MB RAM

before you install win2k check the hcl 1st So long and thanks for all the fish.

You should do fine. You can go to the Microsoft web site and check the Hardware Compatability List to ensure everything in the HP is on the List.

My son just did the install from WinMe to Win2000 on his HP Pavilion 6830 with no problems, just be sure to do a clean install. Recommend you go to the HP site and download the Win2000 drivers first; this was the only slowdown he encountered (waiting on me to download them for him over my faster connection at the office).
