OK, here's what I'm trying to do: trying to eliminate 2 old servers onto 1 new one. 1 Old server is external DNS, the other a DC.
I'd like to install DNS on a seperate partition, answering to a second NIC in the server to handle external requests. (I have 2 internal DNS servers)
After trying to install DNS, I'm stuck with an AD integrated zone that I cannot delete without deleting it from AD (no good).
Is there a way to install DNS on a DC that doesn't automatically add the AD zone for the domain?
