Win2k Cluster members domain only?

..Or put more clearly: If I want to build a Win2k cluster, do I have to use a domain or can each of the members be in a workgroup? We're putting in the 2k cluster for an application (MSSQL). We use eDirectory for DS and I have 0 interest in a 2nd directory to mangage if I can avoid it. Thanks for any input!

The nodes have to be domain members rather than workgroup memebers as I'm sure that the account used for the cluster service has to have domain admin rights.
