Win2K can't connect to XP files or printer

I installed WinXP Pro on one computer of a 2-computer network. I had been running WinXP Pro on both, with NetBeui and TCP/IP. When I was finished, neither computer could see the other. I tried removing NetBeui from the Win2K, but still could not connect. Tonight I added NetBeuito each, and the WinXPcan see and print from the Win2K, but the Win2Kcan't access the XP's
files or printer. I'm using a Maxgate router. Any ideas? Thank you.
