Hello
I'm setting up an automated install using sysmgr and sysprep. Basically I just want to have sysprep change the SID, Computer name and user name for the machine. I've read through numerous sites that explain Sysprep and its functions, but some of the settings do not work.

1)When asking for joining the computer to the domain I add the setting to the Sysprep.inf under [Identification] for domain name and domain username and password to join it to the domain. Upon rebooting and running min-setup, it always prompts me to enter the domain name, and the domain admin username and password.

2)Mini-setup always reinstalls networking. Since I use a specific firewall software that I would like pre-installed, reinstalling the networking is not an option. I read that if you leave out the [Networking] field from the Sysprep.inf, it will not re-install networking. It always does re-install networking.

If anyone has had good luck with running sysprep and really knows their stuff, I'd appreciate the help.

Thanks

use the wizard it on the 2000 oem cd it makes it much easer.
