I have a Windows 2000 Active Directory Domain with a Win2k Terminal Services Licenses server on one domain controller. I can't use it for a Windows 2003 TS Application mode because Microsoft screwed things up again (a new feature). Can I run Win 2003 TS licensing server on a Win 2003 member server that is in the same domain as the Win2k AD domain with Win2k Terminal Services license server? Will there be any problems?

You've got to love Microsoft. NOT!

Yes, you can run a 2003 TS licensing server on a member server. This is a change from 2000, which had to be on a DC.

You can replace the 2000 TS licensing server entirely with the 2003 TSLS. 2003 TSLS will support both 2000 and 2003 terminal servers.

If you decide to do that, you will need to call the MS Clearinghouse to reissue the licenses that are installed on the 2000 TSLS. Should be about a 10 minute phone call.

Thank you. Can the two license servers (2000 and 2003)exist on the same network?
