What other programs are you running on the computer? I just had this problem two days ago on a client's machine. The machine was also using WinFax and the program corrupted the print drivers. The user had it enabled at startup so I disabled WinFax and removed it from startup. I removed the printer and reinstalled the drivers from another machine (Supposedly the drivers can be corrupted on the machine if they reside locally). The installation disk or fresh download would be ideal. After rebooting the problem disappeared.
No Win/Fax, the system runs Office, and outlook, basic stuff. We moved the printer to another system and it has the same problem. So it is apparently the printer, not the system. Thanks though.
