i was wanting to create a dual boot of win2000 and winXP. will i be able to do this if i just purchase the XP upgrade or will i have to buy the full version? i have an OEM version of winME that came with my computer. and i bought the win2000 full version (along with partition magic). but i dont want to use the windows ME (yuk)!
can anyone shed some light on if this will work or not.i have my HD partitioned and ready to go with the install if the "upgrade" version of XP will work??? Thanks in advance!!! Rex

Past upgrade programs didn't require that you installed the previous program but that you possesed a copy. When the install looks for the previous windows to upgrade from, it will prompt you for a location. Just point it to the CD and insert the WinME into the CDROM drive and it should work. I have done this multiple time with Win95,Win98 and Win ME. I have a full version of 2000. My 2c worth.
