i have windows XP pro. it will not recoginse any device that is plugged in to any USB port. Devices i have tried include ZIP disk, Flash drive disk, digital camera. I have tried the devices inother PC' which reconises them and installs them automatically.

there is no mention of them in device manager, and windows does not try to recognise them at all when plugged in.

Device manager says the USB hubs and controller are ok.

does anyone know why this is happening or is the motherboard duff?

If you remove the USB controllers from DM and reboot do they get reinstalled?

If not, I would look for a turned off or disabled CMOS setting.
