Hello everyone. I cannot get a PC to join my domain. I keep getting this error:

"Your computer could not be joined to the domain because the following error has occured:

The specified server cannot perform the requested operation."

I am using the 'Network Identification Wizard' on the System control panel app, if that helps.

Thank You

Try disabling the "on by default" windows xp firewall and try again...

Also, check your dhcp settings as well as your dns. If you're running your DC as an integrated dns, then your server IP address should be the first in the list when you run IPCONFIG /ALL from the workstation.

Good luck

Hmm, that didn't work. Good idea though. Checked all my IP settings and they are the same as all my other PC's.

Make sure the time on the XP system is the same as the domain.
