Win XP Pro- Cannot delete printer(s)

Hi,

I've got an XP pro laptop connected to network printers. Print jobs are not working on one of the printers so I went to delete then reinstall, but XP will not delete the printer. I hit delete and then it goes back to the printers page, the printer I want deleted says "deleting" beneath it but does not disappear. I've also tried going in under safe mode, but none of the printers show at all that way. Never had this problem before, could use some advice.
