Win XP Pro / Access to my docs 1

I use Windows XP Pro.

I need access to my files in the "my documents" folder. I had a boot-password when my motherboard broke (kt266a).

I bought a new one, nForce2, but now my windows does not boot anymore. Is there any way to copy the "protected" data to another hd?

I think you'll have to sort out your boot problem or take the relevant drive to a second machine.

Will your machine boot from a floppy or CD or is it just dead? If you can then some other options may be available to you.

I suspect it won't boot because XP still "thinks" it is running on the older motherboard. Perhaps this site can help:
