Hello

I have a little problem ;)

My configuration is : 2 PC´s (win me) and one win2k server connected through a switch, that is inside a dsl router. This means all PC´s have internet access. The problem ist that when I want to send large data (600 MB) from the server (still loading from the internet) to a PC, the transfer is very slow and terminates often after a while.

Now I want to install another NIC in the server, so that one NIC is for the internet connection and the other for the LAN connection.

I hope somebody knows a way how this will work .

Sorry for my english, i´m still learning.

Thank you for your help.

I should think that your current setup if fine if your hardware is working properly. I have almost the same setup except i will not ME. I can transfer 3-4 gigs with no problems. Are all the computers connected at 100 full duplex and have you tried reinstalling nic drivers to see if this is your proble. There is a program call QCheck you can get from and you will be able to see your network throughput. Also this will work with wireless clients as well. A thought also you might try running a diagostic scan on your harddrives. Reply if you have any more questions. Thanks
