Roughly once a week or every 2 weeks my active directory is crashing. I'm not exactly sure what is causing this. What happens is that at any random time printing will stop working, our Win 2K server is also our print server, the newtork drives for file sharing will stop responding to user requests, and logon services with DHCP will stop assigning addresses. I will log onto the server and try to bring up the Active Directory, and I receive a warning message saying the Active Directory is not responding or not available. Once I reboot the server the problem is resolved, but I cannot find any reason why this is occuring.
In the event viewer I receive DNS Errors Event ID 4000 saying the "DNS Server was unable to open the Active Directory". In the System Log I get Event ID 2019 "The server was unable to allocate from the system nonpaged pool because the pool was empty". I don't see any other logs relating to any system errors.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeremy
