Hi all,

I'm just having a play with Win 2003 server ent edition. This is on a standalone server, with no clients connected, yet. I do not seem to be able to configure the machine to have a static IP address, so that I can setup the machine as a server. I have got into the TCP/IP properties for the network adapter and assigned a IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway. But I still keep getting the following error "The TCP/IP network protocol must be properly configured in order to proceed. Complete the configuration"

I am trying to add the Domain Controller role to my server....any help is greatly received.

OK I have just installed the MS Loopback adapter and all now sorted.
