Hello. I have been battling an intermittent problem for the past 2 months. I have had a strange "slow down" problem that happens every 6 - 8 days and lasts approximately 6 minutes. After speculating about hardware problems I referenced some posts here that suggested watching the processor usage in the task manager. Today this event happened again and SERVICES.EXE was using 100% of the CPU for the duration of this event which today lasted for 6:59. If you have any suggestions as to other indicators that I can watch for they will be greatly appreciated.

Look at the processes that are running at the time. (Also in Task Manager.)

Thanks for the reply. I was looking within the processes when the problem was occurring. Every process was 0% except services.exe which was 100%.
