Win 2000 Professional Password problem

I'm running a server with Win 2000 professional as the operating system. I have some workstations using Win98 as the O/S. I'm trying to access the harddrive on the server from the workstation and it won't let me access it. It asks for a password. When I set up WIN 2000 on the Server I did not specify a password for networking. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Enable the guest account. or create a loging for use on the workstations that have rights to loginto the Win2K machine as well. (Enable the guest account is easier) James Collins

So you are saying on the WIN 2000 PRo machine enable a guest account which would allow me to map the HDD's to the workstations?

Yes. Guest account will allow everone on the network access. Which in turn makes mapping easier. Now dont enable guest account if you have a lot of security issues. (which on the type of network you have I dont think you do.) James Collins

Thanks for your help. I enabled the guest account and everyone can access the HDD's on the server.
