We are working on an IPO configuration for a new client. They are a small office, do not need VM Pro, but are used to an IP phone system with a basic PC portal that can make calls, track calls, forward voice mails to another extension, etc. Most of what I read seems to indicate that Preferred Edition and Office Worker/Power User licenses are required to use OneX. However, other Avaya documentation indicates that a basic version of OneX can be used with Essentials Edition. I can't seem to get a definitive answer.

With the OneX portal software running on a server, can OneX be used with IPO Essentials Ed? If so, what user licensing is required, if any? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

You need user licenses to make one-x portal work and you need preferred to make user licenses work so to you question: No it will not work with essential

Yeah pretty much, you have to sell them preferred edition and the office worker licenses, but set the vm to embedded, which at this point, is dumb, since you already have the server to run one-x, put vmpro on there.
