will i be effected if i do not use outlook express? 1

having seen the process of removing outlook express from an pc box,(we have 300 of them!) if we are not using it will we be at risk from the vunerablities that ms have found, if i do not install the patchs ms relaeses. Basically are you at risk if you do not use the application

There are two ways which outlook express can be attacked both of which will require the program to be running

1. Memory buffer overrun

2. Allowing unsafe code to run in message

So if the program is never run it will not pose a threat to the computers.
