Howdie !
Sorry for bringing the subject back up...
I have 1500 Incoming call routes. Each number going to a different Hunt Group.
Any suggestions about using Wild Cards ? Is it possible in this case?
Shortcode to Access a Specific Hunt Group for VM Collect... (this is for Operators to access and record bespoke Announcements... ) rather than a specific one per each group: Currently 1500

example
Code *73042
Feature Voicemail Collect
Tel Number "?GROUP1"
Line Group id 0

the Unit is sloooooooow.. (of course)
Any suggestions fellows?

Have a great day!
Leo

If the huntgroups match (a part) of the DDI then use the following format:

DDI = 1002344XXX, were XXXX equals the huntgroup number
Target = #, were # equals the XXXX in the DDI number

For single DDI routing add each full DDI number and assign a target
DDI = 10023445599
Target = *73042

If it doesn't seem to work add a minus symbol in front of the DDI number e.g.
DDI = -1002344XXX, were XXXX equals the huntgroup number
Target = #, were # equals the XXXX in the DDI number
DDI = -10023445599
Target = *73042
That forces a full match to the DDI number before processing is done.

Thank you Intrigrant..
Forgive the confusion..
I basically entered 2 questions in one...
and now trying to make sense with the *73042 :(

Just to confirm.
Sorry again.
Each DDI goes to a unique Hunt Group.
Is that what you mean with the below?

For single DDI routing add each full DDI number and assign a target
DDI = 10023445599
Target = *73042

And no... the DDI does not much any parts of the HG :(

If the huntgroup number doesn't match partially with the DDI then wildcards are of no use.
So either change the huntgroup numbers or add each ICR entry manually for each group.
I'd opt out for the first option as it is more comprehensive.

I don't see two questions or do I miss something?

Thank you.
So I Guess I am stuck with 1500 unique ICR Entries as well as 1500 Unique Hunt groups (If I have understood correctly).

The Other question was about the short code to access a Group VM and (for example) record personal announcement.

example
Code *73042
Feature Voicemail Collect
Tel Number "?GROUP1"
Line Group id 0

Leo

The sc should be
Code *73042
Feature Voicemail Collect
Tel Number ?"GROUP1"
Line Group id 0

There are other niftier ways to record greetings in VM Pro but the above will do
While hearing the message "There are x new messages" press 3 to access the recordings menu.
1 = Play current recording
2 = Record new message
3 = Save new recording
4 = Save new recording as a endless loop (caller cannot leave a message)

Thank you again,
so Do I need to create a short code per each hunt group?
Can I not simply use *17 voicemail collect ?
Thought it would slow things down having 1500 shortcodes for VM Collect?

Leo

Create as single sc like this:
SC = *8XXXX
TN = ?N
Action = Vocemail Collect
Linegroup ID = 0

Just dial *8groupnumber, don't forget:
Either each group mailbox must have a logincode set or each user must have a sourcenumber V<groupnumber>, I would set the login codes as that is easier to deploy.

Awesome will try thank you...

You don't have any match between internal and external numbers? Strange...

That's how it was... going to cleanse eventually...
