WiFi 3616 phone as station type 4612 with Directory

Our Customer is working with 50 wireless 3616 phones wich are administrated as a station type 4612. We can't program them as a 4606 type because the need of more then 6 function buttons.

The problem is that when the user is accessing the directory he or she can not scroll to this because a "next" button can't be configured on a 4612 station type. This is a problem we can live with.

A bigger problem is that when the user is in the directory it can not exit it otherwise then power of the phone and power on again. (you can't configure a normal button).

Does anyone has an solution for this issue

Ran into the same issue - sent the phones back. Will re-invest when new phones are available.

What about adding a date/time button? Seems to exit the phone out of the directory mode.

Thanx for your reaction. Today i have tested your idea to use the date-time button. It seems to be a workable work-around. To leave the directory the user now presses the date-time button (fcn-7) and after two seconds they can press the end-call button.

Its not perfect but it will work
