Hoping someone can help me out. I filmed in 16:9 on a Cannon GL1, and imported into Premiere 6, but when I try to export to a tape, it squishes it back. How can I get my footage onto a tape at 16:9?

Did you make sure that you were capturing in the 16:9 widescreen format? If not, then you'll get the compression effect that you're talking about.
